Dashboard panel

Check the health of your channel: message delivery, failures and where they happen, and your messaging mix.

The Dashboard shows your workspace's performance for the period you select: yesterday, the last 7 days, or the last 30 days.

Think of it as a health check for your channel: it shows whether your messages are getting through, whether anything is failing, and where. Its real value isn't admiring good numbers, it's spotting trends and catching problems early. A quick look once a week is a good habit, a couple of minutes to confirm delivery looks healthy, see whether failures have risen, and glance at the detail if something stands out.

Main metrics

A six-card snapshot of the period you selected. Each card also shows how you're trending against the previous equivalent period, so you can always tell whether things are moving in the right direction:

  • Total messages sent and received.

  • Active conversations.

  • Active users: how many of your team worked in the period, a useful read on real adoption.

  • Failed messages, with the failure rate.

  • Unanswered: conversations still waiting for a reply, and how long the oldest has been waiting.

  • Customer sentiment: an estimate of the positive-versus-negative tone of conversations.

Message composition

This area shows your messaging mix: the split between templates and free-form messages, and where your template sends come from (broadcasts, new chats, expired chats, and API calls). It's a quick way to understand how your team and your systems are actually using WhatsApp. Templates are required outside the 24-hour messaging window, so a high template share is normal for a channel that does outreach and campaigns.

It's also useful for cost. Templates and free-form messages are priced differently by Meta, so your mix is the main driver of what the channel costs, and seeing it here helps you anticipate the impact of any pricing change.

Message deliverability

This is the section most worth watching. A visual flow follows every outbound message from sent to delivered to read, making it immediately clear where messages dropped off (unread, failed, or still in progress).

Fpr more accurate insights, you can filter the whole deliverability section by All, Broadcasts, or Messages (regular, free-form messages).

Below the flow:

  • A failed message breakdown showing the reason behind every failed message, for example a message that was undeliverable, a malformed number, a template that couldn't be found, or a parameter or format mismatch. Many of these are things you can act on, cleaning a contact list, or fixing a template's name or parameters.

  • A failure rate by country table, which surfaces where failures concentrate. A very high rate in specific countries usually points to low-quality contacts or numbers that aren't on WhatsApp, rather than a problem on your side. If you message international audiences, it helps you decide which markets are worth continuing to write to.

A sudden drop in delivery or a spike in failures is usually the earliest sign of a problem with a specific country, a number or a template. A failure like "template not found" points straight back to a naming or approval gap (see Working with Meta Templates).
